Good however not excellent. Caters to the CFA takers

This book deals primarily with equity and bond investment finance. this can be not a general finance book. i would not essentially advocate this book, for instance, to those that need to check company finance.
The book will a quite smart, however not excellent, job of explaining the elegant finance topics like CAPM, bond pricing, and risk management. for instance, though I knew that higher stocks with higher Beta should have higher come back than stocks with lower Beta (assuming CAPM is true), the book never bothers to elucidate exactly why. One should deduct the explanations from the CAPM assumptions and equations, that isn't continually intuitive.
The book additionally provides second set of queries for those that are finding out for the CFA. i do not shrewdness closely the book's queries resembles the important CFA queries.
I would like the book had additional Excel examples and issues. though the book doesn't ignore Excel, most of the issues and solutions involve employing a calculator. only if Excel, not the calculator, is that the principle tool of finance (and even Excel is being upstaged by information analytics using terabytes of data), i believed the book was very little too quaint in its examples, problems, and solutions.
